Accessibility
Pathstream strives to provide learners access to our learning experience and educational materials. Accessibility informs all our practices from creation of our learning materials, to the formation of our company culture, to our development processes. We try our best to adhere to the work of the Web Accessibility Initiative of the World Wide Web Consortium on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 and 2.1, of which we strive to reach with an AA standard. We also work closely with our college partners and we attempt to reach any additional accessibility needs. We regularly audit our platform. Principles we follow include:
- Self-paced learning with lessons students can take at their own pace
- Alternative media with captions and transcripts available for all video and text versions of images
- Full keyboard functionality of our platform including knowledge checks and exercises
- Lack of flashing content
- Colorblind-friendly design in which contrast and palette allow for ease of reading
