This course is structured to foster a growth mindset and guide learners in setting and achieving career objectives. It begins by challenging career misconceptions and emphasizing emotional intelligence. Next, learners establish SMART career goals, employing the GROW (Goal, Reality, Options, Will) model for development, and techniques for career planning and motivation. The course is interspersed with interactive content, video lessons, and a practical project, designed to apply theoretical insights into real-world application.

Course 2: Time Management & Prioritization

This course is designed to enhance students’ ability to manage their time effectively and prioritize tasks strategically. Incorporating various learning activities such as videos, interactive exercises, and case studies, the course covers key topics like identifying time management challenges, adopting awareness and arrangement strategies, and adapting to changing priorities. Students will learn to apply these strategies in real-world scenarios, improve their attention to detail, and undertake a final project that involves a self-assessment of their time management skills, culminating in personalized feedback for comprehensive skill development.

Students will also develop their problem-solving skills by practicing the 4-step problem-solving process, where they will learn techniques for understanding the root cause of problems, brainstorming, evaluating/selecting solutions, and reflecting/gathering feedback on their decisions.

      What is the schedule?

      There are three required courses which will be open for 12 weeks with a 1-week grading period after each. You should expect to spend approximately 5 hours per week completing your coursework. The program is flexibly-paced, meaning you can move as quickly or slowly as you’d like through each course, as long as you complete all sections and projects during the 12-week course period. We provide a suggested course schedule to help pace yourself through each course. Students who follow this schedule are more likely to earn the certificate and get more out of the course by spreading out their workload, and our instructors provide weekly nudges to keep you on track. As long as you submit all projects by the course end date, you can progress through the course at whatever pace works best for you! For example, you might do all your work over the weekend or space it out throughout the week.

      Can I work full-time while enrolled in this program?

      Yes, the entire course experience is online and can be completed on your own schedule as long as you work towards the deadlines set in each course. There are no set times or classes when you need to log in. Our courses are designed for working professionals, students, and parents!

      Students must have a high school degree prior to taking this program. No prior experience is required.
