What is Pathstream?
Pathstream is reshaping the way employees and managers excel in their careers. We work with companies to offer certificate programs based on the skills most relevant to your job and personalized career guidance to help you unlock your true potential.
Who are these certificate programs for?
Our programs are designed for working professionals to complete while working in full-time roles—whether you're looking to move up in your current career or build skills to prepare for a new path in life.
How do I know if I'm eligible to enroll?
Access to Pathstream programs is provided through your employer. To find out if you’re eligible, check with your benefits provider or speak with your manager or Human Resources team.
Do I need any prior experience to get started?
To create a Pathstream account and enroll in a certificate program, you must meet the requirements specified by your employer. Our certificates are designed to help experienced professionals and those just getting started.
To be successful, you should have basic computer skills. We recommend that learners have some experience creating a Google account, using Google Sheets, Slides, and Docs (or equivalent tools), and doing independent Internet research.
How long do the programs take to complete?
Most certificate programs take 9–18 weeks to complete, depending on the specific program and how much time you can dedicate each week. Our programs are flexibly paced, meaning you can move faster or slower than the suggested course schedule as long as all assignments are completed on time, with no required class times.
How much time should I expect to spend on coursework each week?
We recommend setting aside 3-8 hours per week to stay on track. You can move faster or slower depending on your schedule—our programs are flexible and fully online. You just need to have all assignments completed by the program end date.
Do I need to attend live classes?
Nope! All courses are self-paced with structured weekly goals to help keep you on track. You can complete coursework when it fits your schedule—though we do recommend logging in regularly to ensure you’re on track to completing the program by the end date.
Along the way, you will have academic support from your instructional team, and technical support from our Help Desk team.
What kind of support will I get during the program?
Your instructional team is made up of subject matter experts in your area of study. They will support you throughout the program via email and live, one-on-one office hours via Zoom. Additionally, our Help Desk team is available seven days a week for technical support and enrollment questions.
Can I complete the program on my phone?
All you need is a PC or Mac computer or laptop and a stable Internet connection. While you can complete the lessons on most devices, including phones and tablets, the labs and projects require a laptop or desktop computer. For that reason, most certificate programs require access to a computer to fully complete the program.
Do I need to purchase any software or textbooks for the program?
No, all necessary tools and software access are included as part of the program.
Will I earn a certificate?
All learners who pass all of the courses in their program will earn a certificate and digital badge that itemizes the skills they mastered. Your digital badge can be easily shared on LinkedIn, or wherever else you want to announce your success!. Certificates and badges are delivered within 24 hours of successful program completion.
Can I use my employer's tuition benefits to enroll?
Yes, learners may use tuition assistance, tuition reimbursement, or other education benefits offered through their employers. To find out if you’re eligible, check with your benefits provider or speak with your manager or your Human Resources team.
Will this help me get a new job or promotion?
While we can’t guarantee specific job outcomes, many learners use their certificates to earn promotions, take on new responsibilities at work, or successfully change careers.
Our programs are designed to help you build practical skills that support your professional growth. That said, career advancement often depends on your specific goals and your employer’s role requirements—so it’s important to have ongoing conversations with your manager or Human Resources team about available opportunities.
What type of coaching will be available to me?
