Course 1: Communication + Feedback This dynamic course is designed to elevate your communication skills, making you an invaluable asset within any workplace. Dive into the art of active listening, ensuring you not only hear but truly comprehend others’ perspectives. Gain the confidence to articulate your ideas clearly and persuasively while mastering the delicate skill of delivering empathetic and constructive feedback to colleagues. This course also focuses on building rapport and cultivating trust, enabling you to motivate and lead your team—even without formal authority. Furthermore, you’ll develop emotional intelligence and conflict resolution abilities that will help you stand out and ensure you can effectively identify and address performance issues and conflicts. Prepare to transform your workplace relationships and drive success through enhanced communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Course 2: Digital Skills This course will help you master digital communication and data analysis skills to enhance workplace efficiency and clarity. You will learn to effectively use digital tools for crisp, concise written communication, ensuring messages are always impactful. With hands-on training, you’ll gain the skills to communicate information clearly and persuasively, whether in reports or presentations. The course also dives into the analytical side of operations; you’ll monitor and interpret dashboards to proactively identify and resolve issues related to resource allocation, productivity, or quality within your work area. This course equips you with the essential tools to not only interpret but also effectively communicate complex data, driving decision-making and business success.

 

Course 3: Problem Solving & Decision Making In this course, you will be empowered to make informed decisions using the data, people, and resources at your disposal. You will learn to exercise sound judgment and develop confidence in your decision-making abilities, crucial for resolving complex workplace issues. Through real-world examples, you will master problem-solving processes, enhancing your ability to tackle challenges as they arise. You’ll learn to identify the right stakeholders for communication and outline effective resolution steps.

 

Course 4: Prioritization & Execution This course is designed to help you master task prioritization and stress management in fast-paced work environments. You will learn how to swiftly adapt to changing priorities as new tasks and issues emerge, ensuring you always focus on what matters most. The course will equip you with the skills to identify which issues require immediate attention and which should be escalated. You’ll also gain strategies for reacting to unplanned issues, helping you manage stress and maintain composure in moments of ambiguity. This course is your key to becoming more agile, resilient, and successful in any demanding work environment.

Can I work full-time while enrolled in this program?

Yes, the entire course experience is online and can be completed on your own schedule as long as you work towards the deadlines set in each course. There will be set class times for this program, however, multiple options will be made available to accommodate various schedules. Our courses are designed for working professionals, students, and parents!

What is the schedule?

The program will run from July 23 to November 16, 2024, consisting of four courses which will be open for 4 weeks each. You should expect to spend 8-10 hours per week completing your coursework. The program is flexibly-paced, meaning you can move as quickly or slowly as you’d like through each course, as long as you complete all sections and projects during the 4-week course period. We provide a suggested course schedule to help pace yourself through each course. The program will consist of 16 total weeks of coursework. Participants will also be required to attend two (2) live online sessions each month via Zoom.

What is on the pre-assessment?

The assessment includes a series of questions, including some math-related ones, that reflect the daily responsibilities of operations leaders. Completing this task may take up to 30 minutes.

What prerequisites do I need?

Before enrolling, students must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, basic computer literacy skills, and successfully complete the math pre-assessment in the application.

What are the eligibility requirements?

You are eligible to participate in the program if you have been employed as a regular full-time (40+hours per week), reduced time (30+ hours per week), or part-time (20-29 hours per week) hourly L1-L4 blue badge employee for 90 continuous days by July 23. 

What kinds of jobs will this certificate prepare me for?

This program is primarily designed for Associates who are excited to progress in their careers to roles like Warehouse Team Lead, Operations Manager, Shift Lead and similar operations leadership positions. In the past three years, there have been over 22 thousand unique job postings for open operations leader roles. This program’s curriculum was developed with input from senior operations leaders to ensure the program aligns with the capabilities required to succeed in these roles.

If I take this program, does that mean that I will get promoted into a higher-paying job at Amazon?

Not necessarily. Some Career Choice programs are aligned to specific roles at Amazon, but you still have to go through the application and interview process to get the job. There is no guarantee that you will get a higher-paying job at Amazon in your field of study just because you completed a Pathways program.

What kinds of career support will I receive?

You will work individually with a career coach who will help you update your resume and LinkedIn profile to feature your new skills and past work experiences. They will help you identify exciting jobs to apply to and get ready for interviews. Pathstream’s Career Services team will also introduce you to recruiters and hiring partners who are looking to hire people with your skills.

What technology and devices do I need?

All you need is a Windows or Mac computer or laptop and stable internet connection. While you can complete the lessons on most devices including phones and tablets, projects require a Windows or Mac laptop or desktop computer. For that reason you are not able to complete the course with only a phone, iPad/tablet, Chromebook, or Linux machine.
